Is it true what they say about Foxwwod on this board

I have just read some not so good comments about Foxwood. We are planning to spend two nights there and they say the hotel,is run down and the rooms are not the greatest. We are staying at the Prequate Tower(spelling) that is the nice one. Reports say that it is not so nice. Is it really a mess. Thanks in advance

The Pequot Tower is fine. The Grand Cedar is the nicest tower. The rooms are a bit worn as they get a lot of traffic. It isn%26#39;t a mess, but if you are paying full price, I don%26#39;t think it is worth the money at all.

I find the hotel at Mohegan Sun to be much nicer and in better shape.

There%26#39;s nothing wrong with the hotels at Foxwoods except that they are overpriced. The Pequot Tower is considered the most luxurious of the hotels at Foxwoods, and it%26#39;s usually the most expensive also.

Realistically, you%26#39;re probably not going to be spending a ton of time in your room, so I wouldn%26#39;t be too concerned.

I wouldn%26#39;t worry. The rooms at the Grand Pequot are nice enough. They are better than the Grand Cedar. I have stayed at all 3 foxwoods hotels -Pequot, Cedar, %26amp; Two trees - none of which I would really descibe as ';run down'; - well maybe two trees but that%26#39;s why it%26#39;s cheapest. The Pequot was by far my favorite of the 3 %26amp; the suites in the Grand Pequot are fantastic!

If Foxwoods concerns you so much, why not consider Mohegan Sun, ten minutes away?

I wouldn%26#39;t consider the Two Trees run down at all. It%26#39;s more like a Holiday Inn than a luxury hotel - but a nice Holiday Inn.

Just got back, had a suite at the Grand Pequot - 2 rooms, 2 beds, 2 tvs, 1 - 1/2 baths, it was very clean and nice, but nothing luxurious.

I enjoyed my stay, was better than expected, had fun, the pool/deck area was nice, the staff were accomodating. All is all decent.

Will try Mohegan Sun next time, but I had no complains.

Want to stay that certains areas and rooms do smell of smoke, it is a casino, and if you have been to Vegas it is much worse there
