I was just looking at the aquarium website and see they have a beluga touch experience. Has anyone done this? Is it worth the pricetag to do it?
Beluga Experience
Well I emailed the aquarium and got this response:
Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Penguin and Beluga Contact programs. The Penguin Contact program runs year-round. It is currently held on weekends only but will be offered on a daily basis starting in the Spring. The Beluga Contact program will re-start in the Spring as well - probably May 1 but we have not been notified of the exact starting dates for both these programs as yet nor the cost. You may make your reservation any time in advance, once we know our Spring schedule. Please check our web site for updates on the schedule which will probably be out sometime early next year.
Beluga Experience
My mother in law gave us this as a gift last Christmas. We has SO MUCH FUN! It was a small group, about 6 of us, and we got to touch her, feel her tongue, listen to all the sounds she makes (you%26#39;d be surprised!) and watch her follow signals from the trainer. It is held in the regular beluga area, which draws a crowd, especially when they see people in there, so if you are shy, this is not for you! I am now looking for a similar experience for my mom who lives in Delaware. As far as cost goes, she is a member and I think it was around $125. Memberships are cheaper in the winter, so you might consider getting one if you live in the area.
Thanks for the reply. We are going to do the beluga experience when we go in May. Just have to wait and see the schedule of events.
thanks for your thoughts allure
