I%26#39;m planning a small wedding for about 40 people. I need about 22 rooms and delicious gourmet catering. I%26#39;d like the privacy of taking over the whole place for Sat. night and Sunday morning. That way we won%26#39;t bother anyone when we%26#39;re still singing at 2 am. Does anyone have experience (good or bad) with the Wake Robin Inn, the White Hart Inn, or the Simsbury 1820 House? Other venues we%26#39;re considering (in Massachusetts) are the Sheffield Inn and Egremont Inn. Yes, I%26#39;ve looked at the tripadvisor reviews: some bad, some good, not too much help. Do you know of other Inns or small hotels we should consider?
thanks so much for your help.
wedding in northwest ct.
Hello, my husband and I had our wedding at the Wake Robin this past January (2006) and we both would highly recommend it for what you%26#39;re looking for. It EXCEEDED our expectations at every level, and the price was great, too. We did the exact same thing, small wedding and with all of our guests in the guest rooms so we had the place to ourselves, it was fantastic. The food was exquisite, and Michael and his staff were truly wonderful and attentive. The breakfast spread we had in the morning was the perfect way to bring the whole group together again before leaving the Inn. I would love to go back and do it all over again! Best of luck to you both.
