Where to go

We are a familiy from Norway , one kid who is 11 and two adults. We wonder if somebody out there have some good travel tips. What places in Connecticut are nice to visit. Maybe some places and hotels by the sea ? Or is Maine or another state a better choice ? We are going late august.

Where to go

I don%26#39;t think that my last post made it --

Anyway, I live in Connecticut, and although I don%26#39;t have a specific recommendation, the southeast part of the state has a lot to do

There are nice beaches there and in nearby Rhode Island

There are also 2 casinos:

And Foxwoods has a museum dedicated to Native American Indians:

The Groton Submarine Base is there, and you can actually go on a submarine:

And Mystic Aquarium and Seaport are really nice

Rhode Island isn%26#39;t far, and a visit to the old mansions is really nice:

Hope you visit :-)

Where to go

Thank you very much. We are looking forward to visit your state.

Best regards Thomas

Since you are travelling with a child, a visit to Lake Compounce amusement park in Bristol would be a lot of fun-(www.lakecompounce.com) . There are a few minor league baseball teams in the state too if you wanted to check out a baseball game. A trip to Hammonasset Beach www.hammonasset.org followed by an outdoor meal at Lenny and Joe%26#39;s (www.ljfishtale.com ) restaurant in Madison would make for a great day. I would second the recommendation of the Foxwoods Museum. It is very well done.

Check out this website for lots of other ideas-http://www.tourism.state.ct.us/

Have fun planning your trip!
