Dinner tonite before concert

I%26#39;m going to the Madonna concert tonite at the Civic Center. I';m from the Hartford area, but I%26#39;m just looking for suggestions on where to eat tonite before the concert. I';m looking for casual, inexpensive, younger crowd. Been to Agave, Black Eyed Sally%26#39;s, Tapas on Ann, Pastis, Max%26#39;s. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Me too..I can%26#39;t wait to see Madonna! I would suggest Vito%26#39;s by the Park. You can get a wide range of a menu. Trumbull Kitchen is also a great place to dine and in a reasonable price range and only a block away from The Civic Center. Have a GREAT time at the concert..I KNOW I am!!!! :)

Overall, it was great. Madonna certainly can put on a good show: dancers, outfits, stage effects. What was disappointing is that she came on 45 minutes late, played for one and a half hours, and no encoure. A lot of new stuff too, sort of hoped for more old songs. Needless to say, my $60 ticket was well spent, but I%26#39;m not sure those who paid $200+ are saying the same thing! Thanks for asking!

I can understand your disappointment. I love the %26#39;old Madonna%26#39; songs, Like A Virgin etc.....

Heck, I love all 80%26#39;s music ;-)

I had hoped to see Billy Joel @ The Civic Center a few months back but never ended up getting there. We were in the process of selling/buying a home at the time.

I assume it was a lot of the same with that concert as well, more new stuff than old.

The concert was AWESOME! She gets better with age! She WARNED fans that this tour is going to concentrate mostly on her new cd (so I was NOT expecting much of the oldies) she did performed Like A Virgin, La Isla Bonita, Erotica, Lucky Star, Ray or Light and as always..she changed the beat to them and they were GREAT! One thing that I HATE about certain artist is that after many years...they give a show and they songs are exactly the same. Sometimes you need to add a new twist to make it fit in todays time. She LOOKED amazing. I was really not upset of her being late because I have seen her twice before and she is known to come in late. The ONLY embarrasment was that she had to tell people in the front rows to get up and dance instead of sitting down with their arms crossed. I was way up in the the bleachers and I stood all night long and dance my arse off! I was HAPPY that she made a stop in Hartford, CT...see Hartford IS Connecticut%26#39;s rising star!*****.
