Eastern States-The Big E fair

I grew up in Enfield, Ct and used to go to Eastern States every year. I would like to bring my kids up to CT and relive my youth. I have not been to the Big E since the late 80%26#39;s, so I don%26#39;t remember much about it. Does anyone know what time of year it is? Also, what town is it in?
