Hartford CT Safety

Last Tuesday my husband and I visited the Mark Twain House and it was very interesting. Once there, we did not feel threatened in any way. The grounds and house are beautiful. However, Hartford might be considered to some folks to be a safe place to visit, but it was scary to be driving that day when a police car was chasing another car while we were on our way to the Mark Twain House.

Welcome to the real world! As stated by you and I quote ';Once there, we did not feel threatened in any way. The grounds and house are beautiful';. So that is the IMPORTANT part. As for a patrol car chasing another...it happens EVERYWHERE. Hartford has it safe parts and not. Again...read the Boston Globe or NY times and you will read about crime everywhere NOT just in Hartford.

I agree with you. The real world today is scary. Not just Hartford, but any place. If I ever go back, I will research my route more carefully and try to avoid the inner city.
