please help

I am going to west haven connecticut with my cousin as she wonts to visit a friend (we live in london england) we are going in october and i would like to know what there is to do and whats the weather like.

this is my first time going to america so any advice would be great on hotels near campbell avenue west haven or anything on the area.

all advice welcome bad or good thanks

I can%26#39;t say that West Haven CT will offer you a great first experience in America... however, being that you are going there to visit a friend, here are a few suggestions:

West Haven itself doesn%26#39;t offer great places to stay. Consider staying in New Haven - which is a short ride from West Haven. There is a nice hotel in downtown New Haven called the Omni. Another option could be to stay in Milford - which is a nice town along the shoreline in CT. There are a few reasonably priced hotels in the Milford area.

Be sure to plan a night out in New Haven. It offers a great selection of restaurants and bars. Yale University is also located in New Haven - so if that interests you, be sure to plan a tour of the campus. New Haven also offers great pizza! Try Sally%26#39;s, Pepes or Modern for a real treat.

As for the weather, October wil be beautiful. It is the perfect time to visit New England. It will be on the cool side - crisp fall air. Depending on when you will visit in October, you may also be able to see the foliage change - one of the best reasons to visit New England! It can be spectacular. You won%26#39;t necessarily see that in West Haven - but you could take a drive to parts of CT to see the foliage.

If you have the time, you could hop on a MetroNorth train from the train station in New Haven and be in New York City (Grand Central Station) in about an hour and a half. Well worth the trip!!
