I want to stay at foxwoods for some gambling, pool time and spa. But I also walk with a cane. Any suggestions on which tower to stay in? Do both towers have a pool? Is one better than another? Thanks in advance!
Grand Preq vs, Cedar Tower?I would say The Grand Pequot would better meet you needs. I only go to gamble, but my friend went to the spa for a massage and said it was great. Grand Pequot has it%26#39;s casino right off of the elevators. Great Cedar does not. I can%26#39;t remember if the pool is off of the elevator at Great Cedar, but Pequot does.
Hope that helps.
Grand Preq vs, Cedar Tower?Yes, this info does help. I made a reservation for the GP tower--I think that is a good choice for me. What about the Bingo Hall? I see it is all the way at one end.....any tips to getting there? Is it a LONG walk? Also, so they have Bingo everyday; or just Weds. and weekends?
I believe they have bingo every day. The weekend sessions are very crowded. The bingo hall is at one end of the property, but it%26#39;s not a bad walk and it is immediately connected to the casino floor (though it is self-contained). Foxwoods is a huge property, but nothing is ';too far'; to walk to.
Also, there is a shortcut from the GP casino to the bingo hall. Take the back exit of GP casino, turn left at the first hallway and it will take you to the bingo hall. Shorter than going past all of the shops.
My mom also uses a cane and she prefers the Great Cedar, perhaps because it%26#39;s in the center of everything. If you want to see other parts of the resort, it%26#39;s a walk no matter what. The Grand Pequot rooms are nicer, in my opinion, and the bathrooms, especially the tubs, are huge! As someone said, an elevator takes you directly into the casino. The pool is right off the elevator on the 6th floor I believe, as the Great Cedar pool is in the lobby/check in level, a bit more of a walk. Again, in my opinion, the Grand Pequot pool is prettier and you can go outside onto the deck if you want to get some sun.
They have bingo twice a day, 7 days a week. They have a schedule on their website which states the times, package prices, and payouts.
Enjoy and good luck!
