Rental car, age restrictions?

Hello!

I`ve been thinking about renting a car in CT instead of NY, because I%26#39;ve heard that you don%26#39;t get charged with an under 25 fee in CT. Do you know if this is correct? I`m 24 and plan to rent a car for two weeks. Would be nice to avoid the underage surcharge :)

That%26#39;s odd. When I called Avis yesterday they confirmed that there wouldn%26#39;t be an underage charge in CT. Don%26#39;t if it%26#39;s a state rule, or if it%26#39;s up to the different renting companies to decide though. Which company did you check with?

We went online. I forgot which one that fee was for but here is Enterprise had as a policy:

All drivers must be 21 years of age or older. There is an underage 25 driver%26#39;s fee of $15.00 per day for ages 21-24.
