Hello, I am planning a trip with my husband who loves biking and is lately complaining that we only travel with our kids to Disneyworld. I love Gilmore Girls and would love to find a small town like Stars Hollow. I have heard in previous posts that Washington Depot is very much like it but that it is a bit pricey and does not have much to offer in the lodging department. In addition, I do not know if there are biking trails nearby.
Could anyone offer me any advise as to a town that: a) Has the looks of Stars Hollow, b) Is not as pricey as Washington Depot, c) Has a wide offer of restaurants, hotels and shops, d) Has bike trails nearby.
Am I asking too much?
Need Advice on Biking Trip in ConnecticutNot sure what stars Hollow is like, but it sounds like it might be like Mystic Connecticut. Google it and see. There are biking trails through out connecticut...Pachaug State Forest is an awesome place to bike. also Hamden Ct...(not near Pachaug)has a nice biking trail and also has Sleeping Giant state park (which is more for hiking than biking tho).

Here are a couple sites to check out for Biking in Connecticut. There are a lot of great trails. Southeast Connecitcut is beautiful and has some beautiful coastal charm. Western Connecticut is also great for trails.
I don%26#39;t know what Stars Hollow looks like either, but thought I%26#39;d mention that the town of Litchfield, CT (North western part of the state) is lovely and is surrounded by rolling hills and parks. Perhaps you would like to do some reasearch about staying there? Also the towns of Bridgewater and Kent are lovely.
