Traveling from Milford to NYC

Hi guys I will be in Milford CT on Monday through Wednesday afternoon for work and I really wanted to try and fit in a Broadway show Tuesday night. If I get off work at 5:30 pm would it be at all possible to drive into Manhattan and make an 8pm show? What about if I leave Milford at 4:30?

If its impossible to catch a show on Broadway, are there any good shows going on close to Milford, in New Haven perhaps??

I wouldn%26#39;t try driving to Manhattan; you%26#39;re likely to hit rush hour traffic and could miss your show. A better bet is to take Metro North from Milford directly to Grand Central station. The train ride is approx 90 minutes - 1 hr 45 minutes, depending on which train you take.

Allow yourself 45 minutes to try to catch a cab or take the subway shuttle from Grand Central to Times Square (probably a better bet).

According to the Metro North site, there is a 5 pm train from Milford; arrives GC 6:45, or a 5:43 that arrives 7:16. Personally, to be on the safe side, I%26#39;d take the earlier one, but with some rushing/running and assuming no train delays, you%26#39;d probably be ok with the later one.

Metro North schedules can be found here: as0.mta.info/mnr/schedules/sched_form.cfm

To see what%26#39;s playing in New Haven, google Schubert theater. They get some great plays there too.

Thank you CaboGirl.. I%26#39;m just going to watch a show at Yale, make it simpler on myself.
