I have read mixed reviews on the Steak Loft. Any other suggestions on a very good steak house with a bar, extensive wine list for 12 guys.
We are staying off exit 90, so anywhere within 10 minute drive would work.
Thanks

Hi, I think the Octagon at the Mystic Marriot might be a good choice for you.
Of course there is Cedar%26#39;s at Foxwoods but it%26#39;s a bit longer than a 10 minute drive.
Michael Jordan%26#39;s at the Mohegan Sun is about 20 minutes away.

Cedar%26#39;s is closing (if it hasn%26#39;t already).
Jordan%26#39;s too far....
What can you tell me about the Octagon?
Stick with Steak Loft. It has consistently good food and service. It is not posh, more of a rustic look (high beamed ceilings), and it would not be my first choice for a romantic dinner out, but I think for a group of guys it would be great.
Mstvl,
Thanks for the heads up. I read mixed reviews on the Steak Loft, but another person just suggested the same thing as well...so we%26#39;ll probably stick with it.
On a side note, I see you psot in many of the Caribbean forums, I am sending you a PM with some questions..
Thanks
-Mike
If your going to be in after May 17th, then you could try Craft Steak at Foxwoods new expansion MGM. It%26#39;s owned by Tom Coliccio (I probably spelled that wrong) of Top Chef fame. He is one of the judges.
As for Cedars I%26#39;ve heard that it is both closing and not so that may be a wait and see.
If your in Mystic I would recommend SteakLoft. I%26#39;ve never had a bad meal or service there. On weekends they do have a live band/singer performing in the bar area. My only issue with them is that if the dining room is full then you are seated on the other side of the bar in a secondary dining room. If a band is playing then you might has well be at the bar because there is no buffer between you and the band in the secondary dining room.
