How do you get from LGA to Greenwich? Does the train run close to LGA?
Travel by train from LGA to GreenwichNo train goes to LGA; you%26#39;d have to get to Grand Central (or 125th street) and then take Metro North; would take too long.
Your best bets are renting a car, car service, or CT Limo - www.CTlimo.com; they are a shuttle service, not an actual limo.
CT Limo will take longer than driving or a car service, but are a cheaper option. They%26#39;ll drop you at the Hyatt in Greenwich for around $60. A car service would be less hassle but would cost more - in the $100 - $120 range.

See this web site for information about the city bus to the regional train (at 125th street station in NYC) . The regional train schedules can be found on the metro north page, new haven line schedules.
The poster above is right that ct limo is probably more convenient but at 57 for a one way trip, I think the price is so outrageous. The city bus to the train would take approximately 30-60 minutes longer but cost only around 12 dollars depending on when you traveled (as peak time tickets are more expensive).
This page also lists other options (including a charter bus that goes from the airport to grand central where you can pick up a regional train, again see the new haven line scheudles).

Another factor to consider deciding bus/train versus CTLimo is luggage. If you cannot carry your luggage yourself - potentially up a flight of stairs or more - forget public transportation.
I know the CTLimo charge may sound high, but when you consider the extra time (at least double, IF you make good connections) and trouble (lugging suitcases around), it is the best option. HOWEVER, if more than one person is travelling, get a private car service.
Its always been a sore subject for us up in Fairfield county, but the answer is no. The only thing you can do is take the airport express Bus to Grand Central, and then hop on a metro north, or take a Taxi to Fordham metro north stop and then hop on a train. But both those options would take a long time to get up here. Its really not worth it. Look into prime-time shuttle or something like that. Its cost about 50-60 bucks but is much easier then any other form of public transit.
Prime time is good -there is also red dot shuttle - both options will cost you less than CT limo - if you want a private car, search on Rudy%26#39;s Limo, they are great
I live in Stamford and I like to use the Primetime Shuttle. (I believe it%26#39;s 1-800-red-vans) It%26#39;s about $60-65 but it picks me up from my home and drops me off at whichever terminal I need to be at. (door-to-door service)
Of course, it%26#39;s a van service and you have to be prepared to stop and pick up other passengers from other terminals on your way to Greenwich. For me, it%26#39;s the most economical way. Taking the train to Grand Central and then taking Metro North from there is too much of a hassle if you have heavy luggage! If you%26#39;re prepared to pay around $150 then take a taxi service.
Hope this helps!
OK< Nice but mostly people wants comfortable and shuttle services.
