As a thank you for helping out with our wedding, we are sending our parents for Columbus Day weekend to Mystic, Connecticut. We chose this since it wasn%26#39;t too far of a drive for them (they live in NY). We booked two nights at the Mermaid Inn - thanks to all of the comments here! Any suggestions of things they can do for the weekend since neither of us has been there?? Restaurant suggestions, too?? They gave up their annual vacation to send us on our honeymoon %26amp; although its not a week at the beach - we hope it%26#39;s still enjoyable for them!!

There is the Aquarium which is great, and the seaport. And its close to the casinos if they want to have some fun there. New London is a nice town visit too.
