Seeking Small Intimate Venue for Meeting

I work for a small liberal arts college in St. Petersburg, Florida, and each year we host small receptions for students and families throughout the country. The receptions are typically held at the mega hotels, i.e; Marriott, Hilton. However, we would like to find a bit more ';homey'; and unique atmosphere for these events. We simply need a space large enough for 100-150 people max..with capabilities to show a presentation on a screen somewhere within 30-40 miles of Hartford.

If anyone has any tips...it would be greatly appreciated!

2. The Learning Corridor (Magnet School run by CREC)

3. Mark Twain House %26amp; Museum (Mark Twain House)

4. Avon Old Farms Inn

5. The Smith House at Trinity College in Hartford.
