Hello,
I have been looking around at the hotels in the area and was wondering what your thoughts were on them. We are a couple in our 20%26#39;s going to Mystic area for 2-3 days this May.
Marriot Mystic Hotel and Spa
Comfort Inn Mystic
If you don%26#39;t think these are worth the rates charged which hotel would you recommend? We just want a clean room, a nice tub would be a plus.
Thanks for any information you can provide

Try The Whalers Inn. It is right in downtown Mystic, walk to many bars and restaurants. Their deluxe rooms have Jacuzzis.

Comfort Inn Mystic is tolerable, my husband and me stayed there in May. It is clean and the staff is very friendly, but our room was on the first floor, which is very low to the ground and is by the parking lot, so people passing by could see inside the window, and we were told that the hotel is fully booked so, we were not able to switch the room, we did close all the shades but than it gets very dark and gloomy, the lights are very dim. In addition, the breakfast is terrible and there are not enough tables in the dining room so there was a line of people waiting just to have a donut and coffee, because that is basically all that was served.
its a decent place for the money, but not in anyway a nice place to stay
Mystic Hilton is nice. Right across from aquarium and Olde Mysic Village. Next to outlets and gourmet grocery store. Restaurant in the Hilton is good, also. Wish I could remember the name.
The Marriot is great but it is a car ride from Mystic. It is not really in Mystic. The Hilton is the next best, and I aggree with the other poster to look at the Whalers Inn. Its cool and quaint. The deal is that if you want to be downtown close to restaurants/pubs, stay in one of the hotels off route 27 (Hilton, Holiday Inn, etc, or in downtown Mystic like the Whalers Inn or Steamboat Inn??) It is a fun downtown area. The restaraunts at both the Marriot and the Hilton are very good. Lots of others too.
