Best Restaurant

1st time to Mohegan Sun for 50th Birthday. Which resaurant is best for Great Food, %26amp; Nice Atmosphere? I was looking at the Summer Shack, Bamboo Forest or Pompeii Caesar. Anyone been to these please let me know how it was.

Thanks

Best Restaurant

I like Bamboo Forest, thought the food was great - I haven%26#39;t eaten in the other two. My favorite for fancy is rain - I just love the atmosphere and the food is excellent.

Best Restaurant

The Summer Shack has good food, but it isn%26#39;t anything special. We eat there quite a bit, but the atmosphere isn%26#39;t anything to write home about.

The Longhouse is an excellent steakhouse. As is Michael Jordan%26#39;s Steakhouse. Michael Jordan%26#39;s 23 Sportscafe is much more casual, but the food is just as good as at the steakhouse. Pompeii and Ceasar is excellent italian food. Very fresh, good sized portions and you get what you pay for.

Todd English%26#39;s Tuscany is also very, very good. More of an ecclectic Italian menu, but again everything is very fresh. Rain is a bit more out of the ordinary, but a beautiful restaurant with an incredible atmosphere. It is right off the gaming floor, but you would never know it.

You can check the menus out online at Mohegan%26#39;s website. Enjoy!

Probably the opriginal poster%26#39;s trip has already come and gone, but I would also recommend Bamboo Forest. They have good food and some really interesting items you won%26#39;t find on the menu of your local Chinese restaurant.

I don%26#39;t know, but I%26#39;m guessing the Summer Shack at Mohegan serves the same food as the one in Cambridge but charges even more for it.

I am a gourmet cook and total foodie...ate at Tuscany. I still shiver at the thought. Really dont know what they were thinking with the food combonations but it was just an awful experience.

I liked Tuscany (but I was also in a great mood after winning $1,200!) so it could have been awful and I would have raved about it anyway :) Or it%26#39;s possible we just hit it on a good night. We sat right across from the kitchen, which was great to see the staff at work, and (gee, I think I had drank a lot of wine too!) the oyster appetizer was fantastic.

Our first choice was Rain, but unfortunately during out February visit it was closed for renovations.

We also grabbed snacks at Lucky%26#39;s Lounge and the Irish Pub (can%26#39;t remember the name off hand) which were cute, but i%26#39;m sure you want something a bit nicer for your 50th!

We ordered room service breakfast which was phenominal, so keep that in mind!

Have fun, Happy Birthday %26amp; Good luck!!
