I hear you, but I still need help.

Hi there!

I wrote awhile back about needing a place near Yale for

a seminar in May, well I tried to book a place today and much to my dismay the Omni is 256 a night, the marriott is around 200, and new haven is sold out on sat and sun, and 3 chimneys inn is out of buisness or something like that. I might have to pay the 200 a night but was wondering if there is a close hotel that would still be cheaper if I took cabs to and fro Yale every day?

Click on the left side panel New Haven Hotels and read the reviews. There are lots of budget opitons but some of them are frankly shabby. The Duncan is old but a New Haven institution and really cheap. It%26#39;s surrounded by ethnic restaraunts. Keep your expectations low and you might be pleasnatly surprised. It%26#39;s across from a Yale building and up the street from the Art and Arch bldg that people come to s e from all over the world, but not me, ugh. Also quite close to the 2 worldclass museums.

I think the reviewers complaints all sound genuine and spot on.

The LaQuinta is not really in walking distance but it%26#39;s next to IKEA which is great. They have some really, good cheap food, and great Swedish coffee. But cabs are expensive in NH so it would be better if you could stay closer to Yale. Which building or dept is the seminar? I got a deal and am staying close to campus for less than 160 a night. I met my budget which is always nice. Thanks for the tips.
