Hotel in downtown Mystic?

Any appealing hotels in downtown Mystic? I%26#39;ve looked around the site, but they all seem to be a ways out. (I%26#39;ll look again, but looking for a quick take.)

We%26#39;ll have an 88-year old, a 45-year-old and two kids -- hoping for a place where we don%26#39;t have to get in the car to explore.

Quaint is good. Convenient is better. Comfortable and clean is sufficient.

Thanks in advance.

I should add that I%26#39;ve looked into the Whaler%26#39;s Inn and the Holiday Inn already, and both are booked up for that weekend, so we%26#39;re looking for other options. Preferably downtown ... or at least nearby.

Thanks!

Have you tried the Mermaid Inn in downtown Mystic? Or about 1/2 mile out of downtown, the Tabor Inn?

The Steamboat Inn is a great place....right in downtown, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Good luck to you and enjoy your stay!

I just came from Mystic. What a BEAUTIFUL PLACE! Note that all the hotels (with a few exceptions) are located next to each other. Nothing is very far away in Mystic. Check out the drawbridge ice cream shop and sit outside to catch the view!

We ended up at the Residence Inn, which was absolutely fine with a car. Our original thought had been to be able to wander about in the evening, but we were all too tired anyway.

Thanks for the responses.
