Which is best Grand Pequot or Great Cedar? Also, drink service is slow...could we bring a bottle to our room or cooler and just bring a drink down to the casino? Is there smoking in the casinos?

There is most definitely smoking the casino. It%26#39;s like living in an ashtray in the smoking sections.

The Grand Pequot is very nice. I haven%26#39;t stayed in the Grand Cedar, sorry. I like the hotel at Mohegan better, but the accomodations at Foxwoods are very nice.

You can definitely BYOB to your room. We usually bring a small collapsable cooler with us. I don%26#39;t know about bringing your own drink into the casino though. I know they wouldn%26#39;t allow us to take drinks from the restaurants into the casino, so I would think you can%26#39;t bring them from your room into the casino either.

If you%26#39;re in the main casino above the poker room, the drink service is very good in the slot area there. Also, drink service in the poker room is good.

Thanks for the insight. We have a gift certificate for Foxwoods, so we will have to stay there.

I also love the Grand Pequot. The bathroom is large with a huge, very deep bathtub, perfect for soaking and relaxing. The Great Cedar bathrooms are much smaller. Also there are two separate elevators that take you directly down into the casino, one on each side of the hotel area. The pool area in the Grand pequot is also much nicer. Nice in the warm months with an outdoor sundeck. Enjoy!

I have stayed at the Grand Pequot (corner suite) very very nice, and the deluxe is nice also, yes there is smoking in all of there casino

5+ . They also having the two trees inn with 5 minute shuttle service to the casion which is very nice also. staying in the corner

suite there are small fridge, wet bar, nice hot tub 2 baths living area and a huge bedroom with kingsize bed.

I have stayed at the Great Cedar and the Two Trees Inn. I actually think the Two Trees is a good deal - it is less expensive, more of a motel sort of setup, but nicely maintained. They have a shuttle bus that runs you over to the casinos and back 24 hours a day. If you%26#39;re looking to save money, this is the way to go.

We just got back from Foxwoods. The Grand Pequot was very nice. The drinks were very expensive at the Atrium. And drink service was very very slow and watery from the ice melting. Oh well, we had a bottle in the room which forced us to get away from the non paying machines. I forgot my wine opener and couldn%26#39;t find one at any store in the hotel. One of the store clerks suggested calling room service and giving him a couple $$. We did that and they were so pleasant and accomodating. Even asked if we need an ice bucket and extra glasses. The Hard Rock Cafe was fun and really not too expensive. All and all, I would go back and stay at the Grand Pequot again.
