Mohegan Sun Arena

Hi,

I just found out that there%26#39;s an event at the Mohegan Sun Arena during my stay in New York City (I%26#39;m from San Francisco) and I was hoping someone can help me figure out the best way to get there from New York.

I was thinking of rather taking Greyhound or Amtrak. Greyhound will drop me off at Mohegan Sun Casino. I plan to stay at Microtel Inn and I assume I can take the shuttle over there from the casino. If I take Amtrak, does anyone know how far it is from Microtel and how much a cab ride to Microtel be?

The bus is your best bet. I believe the Amtrak station is a good distance from Mohegan and you would need to take a taxi from the train station to the casino or the Microtel. The shuttle from the Microtel runs 24 hours a day and is very convenient.

The bus may be more convenient, and cheaper too. The Amtrak station in New London is about 10 miles from the Casino. there is a municipal bus system here that would get you from the train station to the hotel / casino. if you%26#39;re interested you could check out the local bus schedule at seatbus.com

I recomend renting a car. Mohegan Sun is right off of I-395 and it would be a breeze to get there.
