My husband %26amp; I are planning a trip to New England the end of Sept. till mid Oct. to leaf peep. In addition to Providence, Boston, Cape Cod, and Vermont, we are planning to stay somewhere in the vicinity of The Litchfield Hills area for three nites and am thinking of staying in Danbury. Anyone know what kind of town this is?? Any input would be appreciated! The other small towns nearby have some 2 %26amp; 3 star hotels, but no feedback on Trip Advisor except Waterbury which isn%26#39;t favorable.
Thanks so much!

Litchfield Hills!
We have recently moved to New England. We live in Woodbury which is Litchfield county. This is the most beautiful area..I was born and raised in the fingerlakes area and never thought that beauty could be topped till now. I recommend staying in one of the smaller more beautiful towns other than bigger Danbury. That is just another city. There is a Heritage Dolce Hotel right in Southbury 5 minutes from Woodbury. Hope you consider this gorgeous area.

Litchfield Hills!
I agree that Woodbury is a beautiful. Went there today to enjoy the fall weather. Gorgeous. I stopped at the Longwood Country Inn for lunch. As always, the food was great and the fall decorations were beautiful, as was the multi-colored view from their expansive windows.
Definitely would avoid Danbury. Try stating in the town of Litchfield, very old colonial looking town. Or Woodbury is nice as well.
I work in danbury and I can honestly say that it is not a place for any vacation. Go north of here as others have suggested. There is nothing to do here.
You will be better off staying in the Farmington Valley, between the ';Litchfield hills'; and Hartford. Try looking in Avon at either the Avon Old Farms Inn, or the new Marriott there.
