JFK Airport

Hello, Has anyone taken the train from Hamden to JFK airport?

I am flying to London at the end of June and need to be at JFK by 6 pm at the latest so I have plenty of time to get there but don%26#39;t know what all is involved in taking the train. I have checked with several limo companies but they are quite expensive and I thought the train would save me a bit of money. Or on second thoughts, is there a bus that might go from New Haven to JFK??? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you would like to spend a long time on the train, you can go that way but the best way to get to JFK (if there is one) is to take the CT Limo or Red Dot Shuttle.

If you do take the train, you can then take the airport shuttle bus from grand central (coachusa.com/olympia).

CT- JFK is not a convenient trip no matter how you look at it unfortunately.

See these bus shuttle web sites for cost and schedule. You would have to make it to New Haven first for the red dot service, not sure which of the CT limo stops would be closest to where you are going to be.

Thank you so much for your reply. I think you are right about the train and have decided to go by limo. I did check the web sites you mentioned and think that Prime Time seems to be better for me as it picks up at the Clarion Hotel here in Hamden, Ct.Limo would need a trip into New Haven. They all check out at about the same price of $100.00 round trip. So I%26#39;ll forget about the train!

Recently when we flew out of JFK we went to the Budget rent a car the day before and got a car for $40. Then the 3 of us drove to the airport and dropped it off. It was so easy that I couldnt believe it. I had checked with all the limo companies and the all ran about $60 per person. I can highly recommend this to people, since I%26#39;ve tried it. It is a great deal and works well because they need to get cars back to the airport anyway !
