House of 1833 or Steamboat Inn???

Any feedback (pos or neg) on the above would be much appreciated! We%26#39;re having trouble deciding between the two places. Both look gorgeous, but House of 1833 has a full breakfast (as apposed to continental at Steamboat), and a pool. BUT I do like the looks of the Steamboat better - it looks little more modern. Any help would be fabulous as I would like to make our reservations within the next few weeks. Thanks!!

You are comparing apples and oranges. Te Steamboat in is in the center of Mystic village. You coul dcertainly park your car for your entire stay. It is right on the Mystic River in the center of the village. Te House of 1833 in in Old Mystic. The new owners have had it for at least a few years and it looks very nice when I drive by. It is more in the country and has a pool. More woodsy. Nice area but you will need to drive to do anything (which may be fine).

Steamboat inn was rated the Editors choice of yankee magazine - My wife and I have stayed their twice and we love it. We wont stay anywhere else in Mystic.

Steamboat Inn gets booked pretty fast, so you might want to book first than think about it and cancel one. I booked Steamboat two weeks ago for end of July, taking the last room.
