Cabin Camping within 2 hours of NYC?

I need your help! I want to take my new husband, and his 10 year son camping this summer for at least 3 nights. We are all three very laid back, like the outdoors, and adventurous. Here is what I am looking for:

No more than 2 hours away from New York City

Cabin rental

Bus, train accessabilty a plus (we can rent a car if needed)

Wooded (lake maybe?)

Activities onsite - basketball, pool, camp store, fishing, horsback riding, bike rentals, etc.

Your not going to have any real luck in CT the problem is the 2 hour time from NY all the places that fit your needs would be in eastern ct.

You can find cabin rentals upstate NY. Take a look at the KOA campground website and you will find many locations that have cabins. I have looked at them before, so I know they exist. I just havent stayed at any. good luck

Try Hammonasset State Park in Madison CT. It%26#39;s on the Atlantic Ocean and has two miles of beach. There%26#39;s also a nature center, a bird watching walk. I%26#39;ve never camped there because we live very close by. I%26#39;m sure you can check it out on a website somewhere.
