Anniversary at Mohegan Sun - Need Advice

My g/f and I are celebrating our 3rd year ann. at Mohegan Sun. We both love casinos/hotels/restaurants, etc... Because of our work schedule the only time we really get to spend together is when we go away.

So...

In addition to the %26#39;ol slot machines and blackjack tables...

1. What SPA do you recommend, especially for her? The M.Sun spa is quite expensive...is there a local spa that is just as nice but not as costly?

2. What about romantic restaurants? This is something that M.Sun lacks. Their fine dining spot is Michael Jordan%26#39;s Steakhouse...not exactly romantic for a girl that doesn%26#39;t care for the Bulls! Any French restaurants in the area?

Help...I need somebody...not just anybody.

Hi- Whenever we are at the Mohegan Sun we enjoy dining at the restaurant under the waterfall - Tuscany. You must make a reservation and ask for a quiet table - preferably in the wine cellar.

The only other nice spa in the area is Norwich Inn and Spa but I%26#39;d geuss they are just as expensive if not more. I live around here and there aren%26#39;t any true French restaurants. As the previous poster mentioned try Tuscany, I%26#39;ve enjoyed it there.

The Spa at Mohegan is excellent and the treatments are worth the price. Plus, if you gamble, you can use your comp points to offset the price.

As the previous posters mentioned, Tuscany is a great restaurant with a romantic setting. Don%26#39;t discount Michael Jordan%26#39;s Steakhouse. The 23 Cafe has a sports theme to it, but the steakhouse does not and is a traditional, dark decor steakhouse. The food there is excellent.

I also recommend the LongHouse for steak. A small table near the back of the restaurant can be quite romantic.

There is an Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa at the Mystic Marriott Hotel %26amp; Spa in Groton. They also have beautiful rooms and restaurant.

I too recommend the Long House at Mohegan Sun, the food is wonderful, make sure to ask for a special table. Not sure if there are any French restaurants, got to Mohegans web site, the restaurants have their menus on line!

Well, we indulged a little and went for the Swedish Massage for couples at the hotel spa. Lovely.

We ate at Tuscany. Also lovely.

Lost LOTS of money. Not lovely at all. :(
