Excellent experience!!!!!

In all of Lakeville, CT area - ';The Woodland'; restaurant stands out for it%26#39;s outstanding food and exceptional service.

From the beggining to the end, it was an amazing evening, starting from friendly, polite and fast service and ending with a sheer pleasurable dining experience - appetizers and entrees were one of the best we%26#39;ve ever experienced ( and we%26#39;ve been around the world, beleive us).

The prices were well worth the food, unlike another restaurant down the street (Boathouse - bad service, average food).

We were vacationing in that area, and happened to stumble upon this place, but after that evening, I wouldn%26#39;t mind driving three hours just to have an enjoyable dinner there ---- Our compliments to the Chef!!!!! (we didn%26#39;t get his/her name, I hope someone knows who%26#39;s behind those gourmet creations).

I agree the Woodland%26#39;s food is outstanding. Unfortunately, the owner%26#39;s behavior is erratic. We have been there on two occasions when he has exploded to the point where we felt he might get violent. It is too bad. The food alone makes this one of the best places in Connecticut, but we won’t be back as long as he owns it.

Got a big chuckle out of your response, rmokriski. If you think he%26#39;s bad, be happy that you didn%26#39;t have the dubious pleasure of dealing with the woman from whom he purchased the place! Her attitude was horrible. She always greeted diners as though she was doing them a favor by taking their reservations, seating them and allowing them to eat there. I%26#39;m so sorry to learn that the new owner isn%26#39;t any better - the food there has always been wonderful and it%26#39;s in such a lovely area.
