What airport services the New Haven area- is it Tweed? Also, can anyone help me find transportation from the airport to the Yale campus? I dont mind a taxi, if it does not cost too much. Thanks for your help.
Yale questions
Tweed is the closest - You can also use JFK, LGA, or Bradley - then take CT Limo or Red Dot shuttle to New Haven.
For a taxi, just dial 7! The main cab co number is 203-777-7777
Yale questions
Tweed is closest, but has limited service. The main airport in Connecticut is Bradley, north of Hartford, about an hour straight down Interstate 91
I should say you will go straight south down 91 from Bradley, Hartford and Bradley are north of New Haven
Tweed is the closet airport but most Yalies fly into Bradley. Connecticut Limo services Yale. They drop off at Phelps Gate. Go to Yales website-Yale.edu- and you can find travel info for students and visitors. If you%26#39;re flying from San Francisco, you might get a better deal to oneof the New york airports. Then you can either take Ct Limo or the Metro-North train to New Haven.
If you fly into New York you will need to get to Grand Central to take Metro-North. Cab is probably easiest. If the price is the same, I would fly into Bradley.
Thanks for all your help. I have decided that flying into FK is my best option (less stops!) and I will use a shuttle limo service to get to Yale. How long of a drive will it be?
Thanks!
Amy
From JFK it is about a 2 hour ride or so - if you have flexibility with your travel time, try not to arrive between 3 pm and 8 pm - that will make a 2 hr ride a 4 hr ride due to rush hour
