Family Reunion Island

Has anyone every heard of ';Family Reunion Island'; which is in the center of a lake near Wesleyan College? We are considering it for a future get-together, and would love some candid feedback. Thanks.

I%26#39;m not aware of a resort on any island in CT. There%26#39;s not really any large lakes near Weslyan. For family reunion there is Sunrise Resort in Moodus and Interlaken Inn in Lakeville (more upscale)

I%26#39;ve heard about the Cajun/ Zydeco Festival at the Sunrise Resort in Moodus. It sounds great. Has anyone stayed at this resort? I%26#39;m not expecting anything fancy but safe and clean would be nice. Thanks in advance for your help.

Ct born and raised, never heard of it. A few suggestions besides those great ones already mentioned...

1)Lake Compounce in Bristol- great facilities/picnic area, decent food, very little work. Kids may get distracted by the theme park and not put in as much family time as you would like.

2)Marcus Cook in Wallingford- haven%26#39;t been there in ages though so I%26#39;m not sure how it is anymore but we did a reunion there over 20 years ago and it was perfect.

3)Winding Trails in Farmington- never used it, but it looks nice, worth checking out

4) Lake Quassy in Middlebury- the amusement park is kinda run down, but the picnic area is ok, the lake is nice and there are plenty of rides for younger kids but not so much as to pull away from the reunion experience.

Isn%26#39;t Wesleyan College in Macon Georgia????

duh! on my part. I didn%26#39;t realize there was a Wesleyan in Middletown.
