Looking for B&B With Hot Tub or Jacuzzi

My husband and I are going to go in the begining of March, mainly to visit the casinos. I looked at the rates at Foxwoods and Mohegan and can get 2 nights in a B%26amp;B for about the same or less than one night in either casino.

I%26#39;m looking for a B%26amp;B that has a hot tub or a jacuzzi. I%26#39;d also prefer a place that isn%26#39;t too frilly (sorry, I%26#39;m just not into the antiques and lace), has private baths, and a great breakfast. Any suggestions?

It doesn%26#39;t have to be right in Mystic - anything within 10 miles or so would be fine. We stayed at Captain Grants 1754 a few years ago and that was nice, but didn%26#39;t have the hot tubs.

Stonecroft in Ledyard is very close to the casinos, beautiful property with a great restaurant and has whirlpools - also the Steamboat Inn is right on the river in Mystic and has whirlpools. You can check the B%26amp;Bs on line at www.mysticcountry.com. Have fun!

I second the Steamboat Inn!

It%26#39;s a wonderful property (and it doesn%26#39;t have the ';frills'; that I don%26#39;t care for either.) :) If you%26#39;re looking to stay in a room with a TWO person jacuzzi... make sure you look at their website, www.steamboatinnmystic.com/rooms.htm Not all of their rooms offer the two person whirlpools. We%26#39;ve only stayed in the Early Dawn room... and LOVED it! In fact, we%26#39;re heading back in two weeks, and we%26#39;ll be staying at the Steamboat Inn and in the Early Dawn room again. The Early Dawn and Harmony rooms have their own little entrance and both are located on the first floor. It%26#39;s a nice extra not having to share with the rest of the house. I don%26#39;t think the Harmony room has water views, but the Early Dawn room does... and the room can be soooo sunny! I just love it. I also just found out while making my reservation that they just upgraded the bed in the Early Dawn room... it%26#39;s a new King size bed.

The Steamboat Inn is also a block away from the famous Mystic Pizza restaurant of Julia Roberts fame... it%26#39;s actually really good pizza!

The Inn at Stonington is probably fifteen minutes from Foxwoods and we loved it. It%26#39;s not super ';frilly';, more colonial in style, but it is a new construction so no real antiques. Very nice in-room Jacuzzi. Check out my review on the Stonington page.

My husband and I stay at the Pequot B%26amp;B in Burnetts Corner in Mystic. They have a room with a hugh jacuzzi. Jim and Nancy the B%26amp;B owners are teriffic, best B%26amp;B breakfast we have had. They only have three rooms in the historic home. My husband got in the habit of going to the Bathtub shop in Old Mistick Village to get bath stuff so he could take a bath in the Jacuzzi everynight. I am taking my Mom in May and we will be again staying thier, though not in the Jacuzzi suite this time.
