I%26#39;m looking for a nice inn or B%26amp;B just outside of New Haven. Suggestions in the Shelton, Derby, Woodbridge, Ansonia or Orange areas would be especially appreciated but I%26#39;m open to all ideas. Thanks.
Inns near New Haven
To my knowledge, there aren%26#39;t any B%26amp;B%26#39;s in the towns you mention. However, in New Haven there is a nice place called the Three Chimneys Inn. I have stayed at the other Three Chimneys Inn in New Hampshire - and love it.
If you want to be out of New Haven, you will likely need to go North to somewhere like Branford or Guilford.

Great info. Thanks so much!
Look at the suggestions in the hotels - The Historic Mansion Inn is beautiful, A Touch of Ireland is nice, as is the Inn at Oyster Point - I would advise staying away from the Colony!
I would not leave New Haven because ther is so much to enjoy there. I would go to the THREE CHIMNEY%26#39;S INN on Chapel Street, downtown. it is one of the most beautiful inns you will ever stay at. You can go shopping, go to one of the many museums, to one of the many theatres and absolutely do not miss going to one of the most fantastic restaurants you will ever go to (which is right around the corner from the THREE CHIMNEYS)...MIYAS SUSHI!
The Three chimenys Inn on Chapel street is closed forever. Big loss.
