Downtown Stamford has LOTS of restaurants that you can choose from.

Here are my recommendations for Stamford:

* Mitchell%26#39;s Fish Market, Stamford Town Center(the Mall)- I had the crab cake (Entree menu)for lunch and shared the Key Lime Pie (D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S)I%26#39;ve been there several times since. The crab cake entree is my favorite. I also liked their sea bass.

* Columbus Park Trattoria, Main St in downtown Stamford

* Mona Lisa, Atlantic St.- It%26#39;s been many years since I was there though.

* Market - I haven%26#39;t been there but it%26#39;s got good reviews and that%26#39;s on my list to visit.

If you%26#39;re in Old Greenwich on a Sunday, the Hyatt has a nice buffet brunch (around $50 p.p)

If you are in downtown Greenwich on the Greenwich Avenue which has a lot of shopping, my favorite place to eat is penang grill which is on Lewis street about half a block off of the main street.

Oh gosh, and if you are on Greenwich Ave. you must stop into the St. Moritz bakery and pick up a chocolate mousse cake!!

Onyx on High Ridge Road was always really good.

Are you looking for splurge restaurants, places to take out for picnics, simple stuff, any particular kind of food?

For info on Downtown Stamford, they have their own website:

Also google the Fairfield County Weekly - that will give you listings of event happenings.
